Yerevan, July 10, Armenpress: Armenian Police Chief, Lieutenant-
General Vladimir Gasparyan received Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa
Mohammad-Najjaron July 10.
As information and public relations department of the Police briefed
Armenpress, Vladimir Gasparyan high estimated the level of the existing
cooperation established between Armenian and Iranian Police agencies
, simultaneously stating the necessary to deepen the partnership,
which is in the interests of both countries and people.
Mostafa Mohammad- Najjar thanked for the warm welcome and noted that
positive results are recorded particularly in the fight against
organized crime, exchange of experience and information and other
directions.
Vladimir Gasparyan appreciated the comprehensive and effective law
enforcement work, noting that there is still much work to do in the
sphere of illegal circulation of drug prevention, treatment of drug
addicts, law enforcement experience sharing and in many other spheres.
At the course of the meeting the sides discussed other issues of mutual
interest and in the end signed the memorandum of understanding on
cooperation between ~SThe Ministry of Internal Affairs of Islamic
Republic of Iran and the Police of Republic of Armenia~T. The
latter will create new opportunities and prospects in traditional
Armenian-Iranian police cooperation.
