YEREVAN. - Armenia exports wild water animals to Europe. On Thursday
the Government affirmed the certificates on the animals' health
condition. Some experts consider that by saying 'wild water animals'
the Government means wild crayfish, but other experts do not agree
with that.
The director of Armenian 'Bird Lovers' Union' Silva Adamyan told
Armenian News-NEWS.am that in order to have wild water animals one
must have a sea.
To note, in 2003 the Government was issuing those certificates for
fish and fish products but now they are being handed out for 'wild
water animals'. To note, annually Armenia exports 800-1000 tons of
wild crayfish to Europe.
