ARMENIA'S BRANDY PRODUCTION GROWS BY 35,7% JAN-MAY 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - 6654,3 thousand liters of brandy was produced in
Armenia in January-May 2012, with production volume growing 35,7%
against the same period in 2011 (4905,4 thousand liters).
According to the National Statistical Service, 3050,7 thousand
liters of vodka was produced in the same period, production volume
increasing by 53,3% against 2011. 1597,3 thousand liters of wine was
produced in January-May 2012 against 2664,5 thousand liters in 2011
(40,1% decrease).
During the reporting period, beer production totaled 4747,4 thousand
liters, growing by 10,1% against 2011 output (4312,9 thousand liters).
Production of champagne dropped by 57,2%, totaling 29,6 thousand
liters.
In January-May 2012, production of soft drinks in Armenia dropped by
15,3%, totaling 10646,2 thousand liters.
