The current political situation in Lebanon is relatively stable and
there is instability solely in the northern part, Armenian General
Benevolent Union (AGBU) Beirut Chapter member Arin Ghazarian told
Armenian News-NEWS.am.
"We are doing well, overall. All the [political] parties and NGOs
are jointly working on marking 100th remembrance of the [Armenian]
Genocide. The preparations are going successfully," said Ghazarian.
He also noted that they are cooperating with the Armenian Genocide
Museum-Institute, specifically the mobile genocide museum was exhibited
in Lebanon.
And in response to the query as to whether Armenians are emigrating
from Lebanon, Ghazarian informed that some local Armenians are moving
to Armenia and Europe, but the Lebanese-Armenian community still
maintains its vitality.
In Arin Ghazarian's words, the current economic difficulties in
Lebanon are surmountable.
