ARMENIA TRIES TO HOST SEVERAL BOXING TOURNAMENTS EACH YEAR

YEREVAN, JULY 14, ARMENPRESS: Armenia should seek to host 3
international boxing tournaments each year for various age groups.
About this mentioned Secretary General of Armenian boxing federation
Levon Hovhannissyan during the talk with Armenpress.
In his words once it used to be so: Both the tournaments of Gagik
Tsarukyan and tournament dedicated to the memory to the godfather of
Armenian boxing Eduard Aristakesyan have been very favorable and even
registered in the agenda of international boxing federation.
Hovhannissyan mentioned that the tournament dedicated to the memory of
Aristakesyan which was traditionally held in autumn, is not planned
this year .But taking into consideration its importance they would
like to return it.
And the international tournament after Tsarukyan will be held next
year.
Hovhannissyan said there are talented boxers in Armenia. They need to
gain international experience. The holding of international tournaments
strengthens the traditions of Armenian boxing.
