YEREVAN. - It will become clear in 2013 as to whether or not Yerevan
State University (YSU) will receive international accreditation,
YSU Rector Aram Simonyan stated during a press conference on Monday.
He also informed that YSU's international institutional accreditation
process had commenced several months ago. A delegation from the
respective Dutch service will arrive in Armenia's capital city Yerevan,
this December, and evaluate the University's self-analysis and point
to the shortcomings.
"We already have sent the first report. Dozens of teams are working
on that report, and self-analysis is a very hard work," noted Aram
Simonyan. He added that the second consulting committee will arrive
in Armenia in March 2013 and offer its final assessment on YSU and
two or three other institutions of higher education in the country.
