PROSPEROUS ARMENIA NEGATIVE ABOUT COOPERATION WITH HERITAGE

YEREVAN.- Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group has not discussed
initiative on extraordinary sitting to create a committee to
investigate the Harsnaqar restaurant incident.
Spokesperson for the party, MP Tigran Urikhanyan commented for Armenian
News-NEWS.am on the fact that only seven MPs had joined the initiative.
"Firstly, it is known that many members of the parliamentary group were
absent from Armenia due to different reasons and could not participate
in the voting. Secondly, the group has not discussed the issue and
every member voted on his own," he said.
Another MP from Prosperous Armenia Elinar Vardanyan said majority
of members gave positive assessment of the initiative, although the
parliamentary group has no single position on the issue.
As to possible cooperation with the opposition forces - Armenian
National Congress, ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Heritage - Vardanyan said
they are ready for collaboration within the framework of initiatives
contributing to the development of the country.
However, she added it would hardly concern Heritage as its members
"have launched campaign against Prosperous Armenia."
