Armenia's health care sector needs serious reforms as people
are growing increasingly displeased with the quality of medical
services and more and more aggressive towards doctors, the Republican
Association of Medical Trade Unions of Armenia says in its open letter
to President Serzh Sargsyan.
"The reforms carried out so far have failed to solve the key problem
of the health care sector - to make medical services more accessible.
Things will get even worse if the budgetary financing of the sector
remains just 1.5% of the GDP," the Armenian doctors say, urging the
President to take measures to make medical services accessible to
each citizen as required by the Constitution
