YEREVAN
Yerevan, July 18, ARMENPRESS: The Prefect of the Eastern Church
Congregation and the president of the Pontifical Oriental Institute,
Cardinal Leonardo Sandri visited Ashotsk on July 18.
As "Armenpress" reports Cardinal participated in the 20th anniversary
of the foundation of the hospital "Our Lady Narekie" and the event
devoted to Saint Camillus de Lellis. Cardinal was accompanied by the
Armenian Apostolic, as well as Catholic Church and Camillian Unity's
representatives.
"Our Lady Narekie" hospital founded after the devastating earthquake in
Spitak by Pope's suggestion is the best example of the Armenian-Italian
friendship. During past years the charity hospital acted with the
support of Italian companies, and since 2003 Camillian Unity.
Being a regional medical center and serving different regions of
Armenia and Javakheti residents, its activities are quite saturated.
"The success of this medical center's activity is its correct and
good management", noted the newly appointed Minister of Health
Derenik Dumanyan in the interview with the journalists. In his view
the facility conditions continue to be in such a good state as they
were 20 years ago. "Institutions having a good manager can always
maintain their good state, which is the result of good management
and good work, and this is only for people", noted the minister.
