300 TH ANNIVERSARY OF SAYAT-NOVA TO BE CELEBRATED IN RUSSIA AS WELL

YEREVAN, JULY 19, ARMENPRESS: "Sayat Nova" song ensemble is scheduled
to celebrate Sayat Nova's 300 th anniversary in an appropriate way
throughout of the year.
As Tovmas Poghosyan professor, People's artist and artistic director of
the ensemble told at the briefing with Armenpress, they are planning
a concert tour to Russian Federation and are going to come forth in
the communities most habited with Armenians .
Besides two collections are set to be published in the course of the
current year. The first is going to be a sum up of Sayat Nova's songs
simultaneously with music and melodies." Thirty-one songs will be
included in the collections, that is eight more songs will be added
to last edition. Whereas the second collection is going to present
Sayat Nova in the works of ashoughs.
In the fall a festival will be launched in Yerevan and Tbilisi
dedicated to asough music.An international conference is set to kick
off in the framework of the scheduled festival as well.
