LEBANON'S CHARGE D'AFFAIRES IS ARMENIAN

YEREVAN. - Armenian capital city Yerevan's Mayor Taron Margaryan met
with Lebanon's Charge d'Affaires in Armenia, Ara Khatchadourian.
The Mayor expressed a hope that Armenian-Lebanese ties will further
strengthen and the cooperation between Yerevan and Beirut will
further expand.
"Yerevan and Beirut are sister cities for already twelve years. I
believe there are numerous domains of mutual interest toward enhancing
cooperation. The Yerevan Municipality looks toward invigorating the
ties with Beirut's Municipality in carrying out experience exchange
programs," noted the Mayor.
Taron Margaryan also stressed that Yerevan's business environment is
favorable for investment projects and that the Municipality stands
ready to discuss mutually-beneficial programs.
In his turn, Ara Khatchadourian highly assessed Mayor Margaryan's
efforts toward developing Yerevan, and noted that the respective
changes are apparent. Lebanon's Armenian Charge d'Affaires also
expressed his readiness to assist in the implementation of joint
projects.
And Taron Margaryan noted that Yerevan and Beirut municipalities'
joint working group is currently examining several proposals, which
will materialize in the future.
