Duma speaker leaving for Armenia on July 23
MOSCOW. July 20
State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin will make an official visit to
Armenia on July 23-24.
His press service reported on Friday that Naryshkin is due to have
bilateral meetings with Armenian President Serzh Sargsian, Prime
Minister Tigran Sargsian and chairman of the National Assembly Ovik
Abramian.
"At the talks the main attention will be paid to the advancement of
interparliamentary relations between Russia and the Republic of
Armenia, matters of humanitarian cooperation and also the continuation
of the dialogue with Armenia as an observer nation to EurAsEC, in the
framework of the process of the advancement of Eurasia and its
parliamentary dimension," a report received by Interfax says.
In Armenia, Naryshkin will meet representatives of the scientific
community at the National Academy of Sciences. A State Duma delegation
led by the speaker will visit the memorial and museum of victims of
the genocide of Armenians in 1915.
