Iranian-Armenian Pop Superstar Andy to Foster International Unity at
L.A.'s Greek Theatre
Sunday, 22 July 2012
Fans of L.A.-based superstar Andy Madadian are eagerly anticipating
the star's upcoming performance at the historic Greek Theatre which
will feature a Vegas-style motif of global fusion, rhythm and dance.
The show also marks the singer's first public performance with his new
wife, the American performer and songwriter Shani Rigsbee. The couple
will debut their thrilling new single, "DJ," at the event. Tickets are
already going fast for this once-in-a-lifetime concert event.
The show will also include the debut of the humanitarian musical
venture "We Hear Your Voice," written and produced by Shani. The unity
song will be performed by a veritable cavalcade of some of the world's
greatest musical performers, many of whom hail from nations regularly
featured on nightly newscasts. Not just Iranian, but Korean, Afghani
and Israeli performers will all appear at the Greek for a special
filming of the song. Each artist hopes to spread this message of
healing painful divides and fostering worldwide cultural exchange and
giving voice to the people.
Korean singer Sung Bong Choi surged to national success last year when
his performance of "Nella Fantasia," from "Korea's Got Talent," went
viral on YouTube with 55 million hits; the youthful manual laborer
quickly found himself being labeled "the Korean Susan Boyle." Also
from the younger crowd, Israeli kibbutz-born international singer and
peace advocate, Liel Kolet will be performing. Liel performed at the
White House and has an upcoming PBS special. Ehsan Aman is a highly
acclaimed veteran of Afghanistan's "lost" golden age of music. Despite
residing in the United States for roughly three decades, Mr. Aman has
remained extremely popular in his homeland. The 10 year-old piano
virtuoso and composer, Jahan Raymond will accompany the artists.
The song "We Hear Your Voice" is dedicated to the theme of hope and
peace. The sound recording planned for International release will also
feature Pop Stars Sonu Nigam of India, Igor Nikolaev and Yulia
Proskuryakova of Russia, and others, in addition to the artists
attending the August 4th concert. All proceeds from the digital
downloads of the song will be donated to improve children's welfare
throughout the world.
