ARMENIA'S PM, RUSSIA'S STATE DUMA LEADER DISCUSS MUTUAL COOPERATION

YEREVAN. - Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan on Tuesday received a
delegation led by Chairman Sergey Naryshkin of the State Duma of the
Russian Federation, who is in Armenia on an official visit.
"Such meetings are a good opportunity to examine the key issues and
principles of Armenian-Russian cooperation, [and] the vision for our
shared future," said Tigran Sargsyan.
And in terms of giving new impetus to Armenian-Russian strategic
ties, the PM underscored the efforts toward diversifying bilateral
economic relations.
In his turn, Sergey Naryshkin highly assessed the current strategic
partnership between Armenia and Russia.
"We are proud to be Armenia's main economic partner. The MPs of both
countries stand ready to do their utmost to develop the economic ties
between Armenia and Russia," the Russian State Duma Chairman noted.
Also, Sergey Naryshkin welcomed the initiative to develop a new
cooperation program between the governments of Armenia and Russia,
and he offered his assistance to these activities.
Subsequently, the interlocutors reflected on the integration processes
taking place along the lines of the Eurasian Economic Union, the
deepening cooperation among the regions of both countries, and the
avenues toward bringing investments into the free economic zones
being established in Armenia.
