AZERBAIJANI ARMED FORCES USE LARGE-CALIBER WEAPONS AGAINST ARMENIAN CIVILIANS

Azerbaijani armed forces use large-caliber weapons against the
residents of the Armenian border villages, said representative of
the Armenian Armed Forces.
Deputy Commander of the corps, Colonel Arthur Sargsyan met on
Wednesday with the field assistants of the Personal Representatives
of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Antal Herdich and Irjie Aberle after the
monitoring held along the line of contact between the armed forces
of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to him, the adversary violated ceasefire regime 278 times
in the direction of Aygepar, Movses and Nerkin Karmrakhpyur villages
over the last three months.
"80% of shots were made from large caliber arms," he said adding that
traveling by the road connecting two villages has become dangerous.
"Armenians have no intention to leave the native villages despite
constant shelling," Sargsyan added.
He stressed that the Armenian Armed Forces are not firing at
Azerbaijani peaceful population and civilian transport.
"We demand the Azerbaijani side must respect ceasefire," he concluded.
