HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVES THE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
OF THE AGBU SUMMER CAMP
26 July 2012. Yesterday, in Bikfaya, His Holiness Aram I over a hundred
students and the teachers of the summer camp organized by the Armenian
General Benevolent Union (AGBU). The camp gives the students attending
non-Armenian schools the opportunity to study and speak Armenian. After
welcoming them, Catholicos Aram I said: "As you are not able to attend
Armenian schools, I appreciate your efforts to study your mother tongue
during summer holidays, because it is important to learn your mother tongue
and our people need young leaders to serve the nation."
The group then visited the Martyr's monument, the chapel and seminary before
leaving the monastery.
