The population of Nor Kharberd (Ararat region) complains that over
20 families in the village have been deprived of drinking water for
already two months.
A resident of the village, Seda Minasyan, told Tert.am that no one
has so far managed to resolve the water supply problem.
"It's about two months we have no water; neither do we know the
reason. No one can do anything," she said.
The governor of the village, Kamo Kakoyan, confirmed the report to
our correspondent, adding that the Yerevan-Jour company is expected
to launch water supply renewal work on Monday.
"It is first of all because of the summer heat that those houses
have no access to water. I have several times turned to the competent
bodies. This time they promised to help by raising the water pressure.
They are coming on Monday. The problem is really serious. The
population jas no water, which is very difficult in summer time,"
he said.
The Yerevan Jour company, which is responsible for the region's water
supply was not available for comment.
