Issues on sending Armenian cosmonaut through Russian spaceship to the
space is being seriously discussed, the director of the CIS Institute
Konstantin Zatulin said. According to him, soon Byurakan observatory
will resume its works.
"Russia has already allocated the means that will allow the observatory
be engaged in the commercial program on fighting against space waste,"
Zatulin said.
According to him, these steps testify about the development of
relations between the two countries in different spheres.
According to the Russian Federal Space agency within the framework
of cooperation between Roskosmos and Armenia's Byurakan observatory,
the Russian side will provide 2 million euros to the Armenian side
for acquiring new telescopes to observe the waste of space and
register them.
