The situation in the Armenian community in Syria is getting more
alarming, but still 'everything is fine' in the community, member
of the Armenian Community in Syria Gabriel Genberji told Armenian
News-NEWS.am.
According to him, three weeks ago Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
visited Syria in order to find out if there is an outflow of Armenians
from Syria. In order to clarify the issue Genberji listed the students
who do not attend school. It came out that 35 students were absent
as their families had moved to Lebanon, Armenia, France and the USA.
According to Genjerbi's calculations, around 20 Armenian families
have left Syria so far.
