RUSSIA, ARMENIA DISCUSS ECONOMIC INTERACTION

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev discussed with his Armenian
colleague Tigran Sargsian the development of economic interaction
between the two countries on Wednesday.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the session of the Council
of CIS prime ministers in Ashgabat.
"Our agenda is traditional; I have an idea what questions you might
ask; nevertheless we can discuss any themes related to the development
of economic and humanitarian ties between Russia and Armenia,"
Medvedev said opening the meeting.
Sargsian noted that Armenia attached special significance to the
development of relations with Russia.
"Russia is our strategic partner, and number one economic partner;
Russia accounts for over 60 percent of investments in our economy,"
the Armenian prime minister said noting that Yerevan was interested
in stepping up this cooperation.
