OUR COUNTRY HAS SPECIAL RESPECT TOWARDS JAPAN - ARMENIAN PRESIDENT

TOKYO. - We are impressed how effective the Japanese nation overcame
the results of the disaster on 2011, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
announced at the Soka University in Tokyo. "First of all I want to
express the condolence of the Armenian Nation regarding the earthquake
and Tsunami of last year. 25 years ago the Armenian nation passed
through such events and we share the sorrow of the Japanese nation.
The Japanese nation was one of the first to respond and send
humanitarian aid and last year Armenia helped Japan eliminate the
results of the disaster as well. We are impressed how effectively the
Japanese nation overcame the results of the disaster. The Armenian -
Japanese cooperation has a long history. Japan was one of the first
nations to recognize the Armenian Republic 20 years ago. Our nation
has a special respect towards the Japanese nation," Serzh Sargsyan
announced.
