`Bread in Mountains' festival to be held in Yerevan

`Bread in Mountains' exhibition-tasting festival of festive dishes
will be held in Yerevan, near Erebuni museum on June 12, Development
and Preservation of Armenian Culinary Traditions NGO Chairman Sedrak
Mamulyan said during a meeting with journalists today.
`The event has an aim to show our national cuisine to and to inform
wide layers of the public. 13 church holidays will be presented. It
will be shown what dishes were served during those holidays, how they
were decorated and what was their meaning,' Mamulyan told
panArmenian.net adding that 20 pavilions will be presented. Greeks and
Ukrainians living in Armenia will also participate in the festival
with their national dishes, dances and songs.
The festival will be accompanied by national songs and dances,
theatrical performances connected with national cuisine rituals, etc.
Students of several vocational educational institutions will also
participate in the festival.
This is already the fourth year the festival has been held.
