MEMORANDUM FOR RESTORING TATEV MONASTERY

YEREVAN, JUNE 13, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Apostolic church, ministry of
Culture of Armenian and Armenian national Competitiveness fund signed
memorandum on cooperation for restoring Tatev monastery. Armenpress was
informed form Armenian National Competitiveness fund that according to
the memorandum the sides highlight the exceptional role and importance
of Armenian Apostolic Church in the life of Armenian people.
The sides also are led by the principles of restoring, keeping
historical heritage. At the same time the planned cooperation aims
to secure the development of tourism in Armenia.
Led by all these Armenian Apostolic Church, Ministry of Culture
of Armenia and Armenian National Competitiveness fund considered it
necessary to unite their forces to carry out joint works for restoring
the monastery and putting in order the surrounding territory.
The cooperation under the memorandum will be implemented as long as
it is necessary for restoring the monastery.
