CROSS-STONE DEVOTED TO SHAHUMYAN MASSACRES IS SITUATED IN MOSCOW

On June 13 a cross-stone was situated in the newly-built monastery
complex in Moscow. As press and information department of Armenian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs the cross-stone is devoted to the
tragic events which took place in Shahumyan region of Artsakh in 1992.
Head of the Armenian diocese in Russia Yezras Bishop Nersisyan,
Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan, Artsakh representative in
Russian Federation Albert Andryan, representatives of Armenian
community in Russia, residents of Shahumyan living in Moscow, media
representatives attended the event.
Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan delivered a speech at the
opening ceremony and underlined that every Armenian in the Motherland
and in the Diaspora must do everything to achieve the political and
moral evaluation for the massacres which Azerbaijanis fulfilled in
Shahumyan region and to regain the justice.
NK representative to Russia Albert Andryan referred to the tragic
events in 1991-93 in Artsakh and noted that the crime is not condemned
yet which does not let the residents of Shahumyan return to their
homes.
