YEREVAN. - Even though Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations
(MES) had promised to find out within ten days the cause for the fire
that had started at the rooftop of the ruling Republican Party's
(RPA) central office, no official statement has been made to date,
Zhoghovurd daily writes.
"To note, the RPA office's roof was on fire on May 22, and the water,
which the firefighters used to extinguish the fire, especially damaged
[President and RPA leader] Serzh Sargsyan's office.
The newspaper tried to ascertain from [MES] Rescue Service Deputy
Chief Nikolay Grigoryan as to the MES' expert conclusion.
'There is nothing new. They did not promise that it will become clear
in ten days, but rather they said such things last at least ten days,'
he stated," Zhoghovurd writes.
