Armenian PM vows to promote ties with China
YEREVAN June 14
Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said Wednesday that his
government is committed to further enhancing relations with China.
"Our bilateral fraternal and friendly relations have been developing
dynamically recently," he said while receiving Tian Changchun, China's
ambassador to the South Caucasian country.
"Our government will do its best to deepen those relations, because it
is in the interests of the Armenian people," added the prime minister,
who also spoke highly of China's various assistance to his country.
Sargsyan was reappointed prime minister early this month after his
party won the parliamentary election in May.
Tian conveyed Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's congratulations to
Sargsyan, and expressed his confidence that bilateral cooperation will
further expand in different fields in the future.
