YEREVAN. - As of this fall, all of Armenia's prisoners who are serving
a life sentence will be transferred to a prison which is being built
in a village of the Armavir Region, Irates De Facto writes.
`The colony is envisioned for 1,450 inmates, the prison cells are
intended primarily for two persons, and the conditions - as they
assure - have received modern solutions.
As our source informed, today the justice system has a great deal to
do in terms of examining the cases of the 105 persons who are serving
a life sentence in Armenia, because having such great number of
life-term servers in our country is a disturbing fact,' Irates De
Facto writes.
