The Azerbaijani side has recently intensified the ceasefire violations,
which claim the lives of Armenian soldiers, while the international
community continues issuing statements with calls to both sides.
Another Armenian soldier was shot dead by Azerbaijan snipers, as the
Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers were holding a meeting in
Paris Monday with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
"The NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already declared that the
responsibility for the future escalation of tension rests with the
Azerbaijani side," David Babayan, Spokesman for NKR President, told
"Radiolur." He added, however, that its does not yet mean resumption
of military actions.
"The recurrent provocation of Azerbaijan is an open challenge to the
OSCE and the Minsk Group co-chairing countries. It's a boycott of
previous commitments and agreements," the NKR Ministry of Foreign
Affairs stated.
An official note, which reflects the position of the NKR authorities
on this issue, has been submitted to the Office of the Personal
Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
"With its irresponsible steps Azerbaijan defames the international
organizations, of which it is a member, particularly the UN Security
Council," David Babayan said.
David Babayan is confident that resumption of military actions is
impossible at this point. According to him, Azerbaijan would unleash
war if it was confident it would succeed.
