IN SPAIN ARMENIAN HEAD OF "KHORAN" RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION ARRESTED ON A CHARGE OF STEALING GOLD

The Armenian head of "Khoran" religious institution Hrachya Khachatryan
was arrested on a charge of stealing gold in Spain, United Youth League
(UYL) and several representatives of Khoran functioning in Spain told
aravot.am about this.
According to the information, the police found Khachatryan in
possession of 1,5kg stolen gold at Madrid airport. He was arrested
but was released on bail 24 hours later.
A criminal case was initiated on a charge of robbery.
To recall, for several months the representatives of the Armenian
communities in different countries, clergymen and 60 NGOs have been
expressing their concern on the activity of the Khachatryan spouses.
According to the information of Valencia's Armenian community, the
jewelry taken from the members of "Khoran" sectarian organization were
appearing in Yerevan's gold market. According to UYL, the Khachatryan
spouses were involving people in their sect by way of fraud and deceit.
