YEREVAN. - The government of Armenia lends salaries and pensions,
which the next generations will pay off, opposition Armenian National
Congress group MP Hrant Bagratyan said expressing the group's viewpoint
on the 2012-2017 government program.
"What steps has the Government taken to overcome consequences of
global crisis? External debt reached $6.5 billion out which $4.5
billion is state debt, while $2 billion is the private sector's,
which is more dangerous, including the banking system," Bagratyan said.
According to him, there is no need to state Armenia's government was
able to pay salaries and pensions during the crisis, as later on next
generations will pay off the entire debts.
