HENRI KERALI PROMISES TO DEVELOP WORLD BANK WORK IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JUNE 21, ARMENPRESS: Mr. Henri Kerali has been appointed
World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus effective July 1,
2012.In this position Herali will oversee the Bank's program in the
three countries-Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, will lead the development
and implementation of the bank's Country Partnership Strategies in
these countries.
Kerali will be based in Tbilisy, which hosts the Bank's Regional
Office for the South Caucasus. Kerali accepted with a joy the Office,
Armenpress reports.
"During the twenty years World Bank has allocated over 1.6 billion
US dollars' worth aid to Armenia, financing health care, education,
road construction projects.
I promise to continue Asad Alam- Armenia WB brilliant work done.
During the meeting with the President I was commissioned to deepen
WB work in Armenia" Kerali noted.
Mr. Kerali will take over Mr. Asad Alam, who is moving to Pretoria,
South Africa, as the Country Director for Southern Africa.Mr. Kerali
has worked in different regions of the world including Latin America,
Africa, East Asia, South Asia, and Europe and Central Asia (ECA).
