GURGEN ARSENYAN: ARMENIA IN DISASTER

Member of Parliament Gurgen Arsenyan from Prosperous Armenia Party,
said in his speech in the National Assembly that Armenia's situation is
disastrous. "The greater part of participants of our election campaign
rallies in rural communities were women and old people because men are
migrant workers in Russia. It means something has gone wrong if 500
thousand people have left the country in recent years," Arsenyan said.
He stated that the situation reminds him of other periods of the
history of Armenia, such as the war between Shah Abas and the
Turkish Empire, the genocide. "Armenia's viability is endangered,"
the MP warns.
