ARMENIA'S JUSTICE MINISTER PROMISES TO RUN WIDE-RANGE REFORMS IN LEGAL-JUDICIAL SYSTEM

YEREVAN. - Armenia will expect wide-range of reforms in the
legal-judicial system, Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan told the
journalists on Friday adding the reform program was approved during
Thursday's consultations with the President of Armenia.
"Discussions with the President revealed that regular amendments may
provide for a short period of positive results, while the country
needs in fundamental legal-judicial changes," the Minister said.
Tovmasyan believes that two things, including defense and justice
provide for the state development.
The new program touches upon issues of building new courts, amendments
of the Criminal Code, installation of public works institute and some
activities will be de-criminalized.
