Armenia's ex Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanyan was again invited to
the National Security Service (NSS) on Monday but refused for the
second time to give testimony as a witness in the money laundering
case against the Civilitas foundation, the paper has learned.
In an appeal submitted last week to Prosecutor General Aghvan
Hovsepyan, Oskanyan reportedly called for annulling the decision on
a criminal proceeding and dismissing the case. But the paper says it
didn't manage to find out what the prosecutor answered. The State
Revenue Committee has launched inspections in Civilitas, the paper
says adding that Oskanyan had pushed for the move, considering it an
effective remedy to prove his innocence.
