A CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE GENOCIDES HELD IN PRAGUE

YEREVAN, JUNE 27, ARMENPRESS: " Evil archeology" study center within
the framework of "9 gates" festival, under the auspices of Czech
Republic Prime Minister Petr Nechas , organized " The Forty Days of
Musa Dagh" conference in Prague. Information and public relations
department of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Armenia informed
Armenpress at the course of the opening ceremony , hosted in Prague
'Viola" theatre, Czech known TV commentator and publicist, the son
of Holocaust survivors Pavel Zuna and Armenian Ambassador to Czech
Republic Tigran Seyranyan delivered speeches.
The Ambassador dwelled on Franz Werfel " The Forty Days of Musa Dagh"
and noted Czech Republic's Armenian community pays tribute to the
great novelist each year , puts flowers on the threshold of his house
in Prague. Then Seyranyan came forth with the speech on the issue of
the international recognition of Armenian Genocide, simultaneously
presenting the denial policy of Turkey Government.
Charles University Theology Faculty hosted the continuation of the
conference works. California State University, Northridge (CSUN)
professor, Armenian Studies Program director Vahram Shemmasyan, Musa
Dagh in origin ,came up with the detailed report. Andrew Goldberg
"Armenian Genocide" documentary film was displayed in the frame of
the meeting.
