ARMENIAN WEB SITES NEED PROTECTION AGAINST AZERBAIJANI HACKERS

YEREVAN, JUNE 29, ARMENPRESS: The number of Azerbaijani and Turkish
hacker attacks towards Armenian web sites make over 400 by the data
of 2011 end of the year and the start of 2012.
" The attacks organized by Azeri prevail on Turkish hacker attacks.
10 % of all the hacker attacks belong to trivial hackers who simply
break the sites without any provocation" Information security expert
Samvel Martirosyan stated at the briefing with the journalists on
June 29.
In the words of the expert Azerbaijan's attacks have certain
regularity.The specialist attributes the latest hacker attacks due
to the junctions of the Azeri aimed to hinder freedom of speech in
Armenia, Armenpress reports.
" Regardless any cause web site attack is vandalism and hooliganism"
the interlocutor noted. The specialist stressed that the sites are
often broken having technically vulnerable sides.
" Sites should always be under the control of information security
expert, yet not all sites can afford it. Lately the application of
DDOS type hacker attacks is widely used, which generates from visits
of computers with viruses, in a result of which the site simply stops
to work" the interlocutor underscored.
The expert added hacker attacks mainly target Presidential web site.
Cosmopolitan magazine web site was the most attacked by hackers
during 2011.
