Candidates for seats representing religious minorities in Iran's
Majlis are engaged in a "lively" campaign. Candidates were actively
posting posters and distributing booklets about their plans. Armenian
candidates have printed flyers in the Armenian language.
According to Article 64 of Iran's Constitution, religious minorities
are allotted a total of five seats in the Majlis: one representing
Zoroastrians, one for Jews, one for Assyrians and two for Armenians
(one for the north of the country and one for the south).
