Armenia to participate in Cannes film market

YEREVAN, MARCH 3, ARMENPRESS: Armenia will participate in the world
famous Cannes film festival's film market for the fourth time with a
separate pavilion. Director of the Armenian Cinema Center Gevorg
Gevorgyan told Armenpress a number of projects are intended to be
carried out connected both with animation, feature and documentary
films. "We are going to present films about the Armenian Genocide in a
separate program," he said.
Gevorgyan noted that the invitations have already been sent to
different funds, foundations, producers who are going to participate
in the presentations of the films. "We are going to carry out a great
work in Cannes," he stressed.
Armenian short-length film has already been sent for participation in
the festival. It is Armen Bruno's "Your Pain is mine" work. "We are
waiting for jury's decision after which it will be clear whether our
work will participate in the festival or not," the director of the
cinema center said.
This year Cannes film festival will be conducted May 17-26.
