conflict in May
[ 09 Mar 2012 12:49 ]
Brussels. Victoria Dementieva - APA. Belgian Chamber of
Representatives will discuss a draft resolution on Nagorno Karabakh
conflict in May, Belgian parliamentarian David Geerts told APA.
He said that the text of draft resolution would be elaborated within
2-3 weeks and discussed with other parliamentarians: `The purpose of
resolution is to direct the government's attention to the peaceful
settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The OSCE Minsk Group mediates
in the settlement of conflict but it has not been settled during 20
years. I consider that Chamber of Representatives will discuss it in
May-June'.
Geerts said that the draft resolution would reflect the economical
aspects of the conflict and express concerns about the increase of
military expenditures by the two sides. Geerts also said that he held
meetings with Armenian side as well: `It is necessary to keep
communication with both sides for contributing to peace process'.
