YEREVAN.- The Genocide denial is continuation of the crime committed
in the beginning of the last century, Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan said.
Armenia must manage to deliver this message to all world stated and
nations, he said on Saturday addressing the participants of the
Republican Party's Congress held in Yerevan.
`Crime committed against the Armenians continues now. It continues as
the fact is denied. All Armenians and people in general must stop the
crime,' he said.
He stressed that Armenia and the Diaspora continue their joint efforts
into the process of recognition and condemnation of the Armenian
Genocide.
The fact of the Armenian Genocide is recognized by many states. It was
first recognized in 1965 by Uruguay. In general, the Armenian Genocide
in Ottoman Turkey has already been recognized by 21 countries and 43
out of 50 U.S. states.
