YEREVAN. - The "Help Armenian Children" NGO will organize, in the
capital Yerevan on April 13, a benefit concert night of folk song
and recitation, whose proceeds will be transferred to the fund
for six-year-old Elen Dilanyan, who is currently undergoing cancer
treatment in Germany.
"In March 2010, little Elen was diagnosed with cancer, specifically
neuroblastoma. The child's family had to move to Israel, so she could
receive proper treatment, and now the innovative methods for her
treatment are carried out in Germany. The new cost estimate prepared
by the German clinic is around 170,000 euros, and, if this [amount]
is not paid, the treatment will be suspended," the aforesaid NGO's
press release states in particular.
