YEREVAN. - The vehicles belonging to foreign embassies and consulates
in Armenia regularly and openly violate the traffic rules, and the
setting of administrative penalties against them causes problems,
Eduard Hovhannisyan, "Achilles" Center for the Defense of Drivers'
Rights NGO Chairman, stated during a press conference on Friday.
In his turn, Deputy Road Police Chief, Police Colonel Hayk Sargsyan
did not deny this fact, but he diplomatically noted that no one can
evade responsibility.
"A record is made on the vehicles belonging to the armed forces and
[those] equivalent to them, and they are sent to the armed forces
where disciplinary penalties are set," Police Colonel Sargsyan noted.
