The Armenian Police has finished the preliminary investigation on
the case of pension written out on a deceased person's name.
To remind, a criminal case was launched on violations while appointing
and paying pensions in 2009-2010. During the investigation violations
were also discovered in the payment process of citizen S. Andreasyan
mother's pension.
It came out that Andreasyan did not present his mother's death
certificate to Armenia's Social Security Service in 2007. Instead, he
had told that his mother was sick. Thus, during 2007-2010 he received
his mother's pension which totaled to AMD 1,119,200 causing damage
to the state.
A criminal case was launched against Andreasyan. The money stolen
by Andreasyan was returned to the state during the preliminary
