ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SENDS MESSAGE TO OBAMA, MEDVEDEV AND SARKOZY

YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a message to
the leaders of co-chairing states of the OSCE Minsk Group on 20th
anniversary of the formal request to convene a conference on the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
President Sargsyan expressed gratitude for consistent efforts of
the co-chairing states and their leaders into settlement of the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Stressing that the main goal of the Minsk Group - resolution of the
Karabakh conflict - has not been achieved yet, he added that work of
the co-chairs could hardly be overestimated. Sargsyan pointed out
their efforts into converging positions of the sides, elaborating
fundamental principles, easing tension and preserving peace.
Armenia is interested in resolution of the conflict and will continue
to adhere to positive and constructive involvement in the peace
process within the framework of the Minsk Group to the benefit for
regional stability and security.
The OSCE Minsk Group was created in 1992. Negotiations over
resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are being conducted
under the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chaired by Russia,
U.S. and France.
