YEREVAN. - The process of penalizing the Armenian Genocide denial
will continue regardless of presidential election's outcome, head of
Oriental Studies institute Ruben Safrastyan said.
He noted that several countries are closely following the developments
and if France adopts the bill, other European states may join.
The Armenian researchers participating in Moscow-hosted conference on
Turkey's factor in the Middle East and Post Soviet states called on
the Russian side to join. Safrastyan considers that Europe is one step
forward: criminalization of the genocide is following the recognition.
