YEREVAN. - Armenia is facing lots of foreign challenges, parliament
opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun MP Armen Rustamyan said on Friday.
"These challenges include Armenian-Turkish relations, Nagorno-Karabakh
peace process and the Javakhk issue. And we are to seek the solution
within ourselves," he said.
Rustamyan said that the authorities have been discussing the draft of
the foreign policy concept, which he got familiarized with and made
some offers as a head of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.
Moreover, he has serious concerns over the concept, which lacks a
very important provision.
"It should be based on such an ideology, which will be able to
protect national and state interests effectively, and to be adequate
in overcoming the challenges," Rustamyan stated.
