Three Armenian servicemen killed in attack coming from Azerbaijan - source
YEREVAN. April 27
Three Armenian servicemen were killed when the border checkpoints in
the Tavush region of Armenia (northeastern Armenia) were fired at from
Azerbaijan, a source told Interfax on Friday.
The Armenian Defense Ministry promised to issue a statement in the near future.
Exchange of fire has become frequent on the Armenian-Azeri border in
the past few days.
On April 24, a sanitary vehicle belonging to the Defense Ministry of
the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh came under fire from Azerbaijan
(two servicemen were wounded). On April 25, the village of Doveg,
Tavush region of Armenia, came under fire from Azerbaijan. No people
were hurt in the attack, although the building of a kindergarten was
damaged.
