ARMENIA'S NATIONAL SECURITY SERVICE MAY PROVIDE POLITICAL PARTIES WITH DATA ON VOTERS

YEREVAN.- National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) responded
positively to the statement adopted by six parties who asked that it
should provide data on voters, if necessary.
NSS is presently studying the technical opportunities to provide
the necessary information, member of ruling Republican Party David
Harutunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
"I think we will receive the final answer tomorrow," he said.
However, NSS set the following condition: parties or candidates
should sign a document ensuring they will use information only during
election disputes.
Earlier RPA, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Orinats Yerkir, Communist Party of
Armenia, Democratic Party of Armenia, and Prosperous Armenia Party
(PAP) addressed the National Security Service asking for data on the
voters absent from the state.
