    YEREVAN

YEREVAN, MAY 3, ARMENPRESS: The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has
sanctioned Armenia for its decision to withdraw from the Eurovision
2012 International Song Contest after the deadline specified in their
regulations. " EBU is currently negotiating with the Public Television
of Armenia for determining the amount of fine and the deadline of the
payment" Dutchman Sietse Bakker Event Supervisor of the Eurovision
Song Contest who is currently in Baku, briefed Armenpress journalist.

Bakker highlighted that the right to broadcast the contest belonged to
Public Television, who confirmed the news of its refusal to take part
in the contest hosted in Baku on March 7. Armenian Public Television,
according to " Eurovision" regulations, ought to broadcast the
competition live. In the case of refusal the country may be deprived
of the right to participate in "Eurovision 2013".

"Eurovision 2013" is scheduled to launch in Baku 22-26. 42 states
are participating in the contest. Armenian delegation has not yet
