YEREVAN.- Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian commented on
Azerbaijan's membership to the UN Security Council.
During his joint press conference with Uruguayan counterpart Luis
Almagro, he said Azerbaijan may attempt to make some moves against
Armenia but among the permanent members are U.S. Russia and France,
who are also the co-chairing states of the OSCE Minsk Group.
He recalled Co-Chairs' numerous statements saying the only right
format of the talks is the Minsk Group.
"High level statements were made in L'Aquila, Muskoka and Douville. In
its turn Armenia said it is ready to continue talks based on the made
proposals. It is Azerbaijan who refuses to do so," he emphasized.
Azerbaijan is unlikely to reach success putting forward one-sided
initiatives, the Minister added.
Azerbaijan is non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
